Motherhood

I have been stressing about this everyday, dirty dishes in the sink! Anyone who knows me knows that I cant handle having dirty dishes they either need to be in the dishwasher or cleaned and put away.(OCD I know) But sence I have become a mom I feel like my sink looks like this all the time. I start to clean up and then Remi needs to be fed or held. (I know my sister Nicole is loving this right now). But after listening to President Monson this last sunday I have come to realise it dosent matter. I am just going to enjoy having a newborn, I am going to hold her and play with her all the time. And I will let the sink be full of dishes until Cy can get home and do them for me:)

AMEN! I think all of us moms are too hard on ourselves. Instead of thinking about all the house stuff we didn't get done each day we should take a look at the time we spent caring for our children and giving them the love they need. In the end they will remember the kisses and hugs more than the sink of dirty dishes.

ps I still need to come see your little cutie!

You haven't seen dirty dishes until you've seen my sink girl! I wish I had OCD, dishes are the last thing I seem to get to each day. Love that sweet baby of yours, they do grow too fast :)

That is the least of the stresses of messy around the house, then comes backed up laundry, garbages, etc. LOL...She is stunning. Congrats!

You are so cute Whit. I totally agree. Babies grow all too fast. Hold and kiss her all you want. Dishes will always be there waiting for you, she will get big way too fast. :)

Hey Whit, a girl I went to high school with had this posted on her blog (she just had a baby) and I thought of you...maybe it could be useful...or not...hope all is well. "On www.diapers.com you can get a box of 216 Pampers swaddlers for $39.99 which is a pretty good deal, they are regularly $46.79. Then we had a coupon code that gave us $10 dollars off and it's free shipping if you spend 50 dollars or more. So we bought 2 boxes and used the coupon code (the code is AFFL10 if anyone wants to use it), so it came out to $70 buck-a-roo's, which equals 16 cents a diaper, which is a pretty good deal! At Walmart I believe it's about 25 cents a diaper"

Good Job Whit!!! I am proud of you!!! It gets easier. There comes a point when everything just falls into place. I remember being the same way, and then I figured out a way to get it all done. THEN I had TWO and the same "CYCLE" happened and now I am going to have THREE!!!!
Anyway! I miss ya!!!

Oh your baby is so sweet Whitney!! What a cute mom you are, love all the pics your friend took! She is just really darling!

We just found out that we are expecting a little "miracle" baby. I was told I wouldn't be able to have any more biological children but surprise!!! I cry every time I think about it because I am so happy! Your sweet baby pics are making me so excited for our next little one to join our family!

Love, Kerri (Riches) :)

Congrats on your beautiful little girl! She is so sweet. I hope that you are enjoying her every moment, because it does go way to fast just like our Prophet told us last week. Don't worry about the dishes. Now that you have kids the sink will always be full no matter how many times a day you do them! ( I know that you didn't want to hear that, but it is the truth!) Hope that you are doing well! I hope to see you sometime soon.

Whit! I can't remember if I already told you this, but Remi is so precious (and I love her name too). Sounds like you are such a cute mom already! I am a huge slacker and don't do the dishes even though I don't have any kids. YIKES! We just went to dinner at Colton and Katie's house. It was so fun to be with people we actually know and like. Wish you could be here too!

Enjoy every moment. They pass so quickly and you don't get them back. Messes around the house mean you are just living life instead of wishing you were.

Congratulations you guys, she's absolutely beautiful! I can't believe that sweet time was 7 months ago for me. Seriously, you'll never regret leaving dishes dirty for a little while, but you might regret not holding your angel long enough. I love those pictures too...the feet are my favorite...so cute! I'm so happy for you guys, being a Mom is the best thing in the whole world, especially combined with being a wife to such great husbands.

That baby is beautiful and I love the name! I have been using paper plates ever since my 3rd child was born. She's 3 now, but I should have started it with my first :). The only down side is that sometimes my kids throw away their silverware too. Maybe I should switch to plastic! Just thought of that and how ghetto I am :)!
