I got a phone call at 7 pm at night on the 22 of February saying that they have me scheduled to be induced the next morning at 6 am. I had no idea and I didn't know if I should do it or not but I talked to Cy and we decided to go in. I took Remi over to my sister Cami's house that night and came home to not sleep a single wink! How can you when you know your life is going to drastically change the next day???
We got to the hospital and the nurse checked me and told me I was at 2 maybe a 2+. I was shocked I was told two days earlier I was a 3!
Anyway I get hooked up to pitocin around 8 am. They have it set at the highest dose they can give and the contractions are coming every two minutes.
they waited a hour and I hadn't progressed at all...
8 hours later the doctor came in and I still hadn't progressed! He told me since I haven't gotten my epidural yet and they hadn't broken my water he would give me 2 more hours to see if anything changes but if not I could be sent home :(
What the?? Who wants to go home after doing this for 8 freaking hours!?!?
I got up and started walking around and I got a birthing ball. An hour into it the contractions hit super, super hard.
The Doctor came back in and still no progress but since my contractions were so bad he decided to go ahead and break my water and I got an epidural about an hour later.
The nurse came in 10 minutes later and said the Doctor called and wanted her to check me again and this time I was a 6. I soon after got really sick again. The Doctor came in and all the nurses came in and started setting everything up. They said I was at a 9 and then they told me to start pushing. I was thinking in my head don't I have to be at a 10 before I start pushing? I pushed through 3 contractions and my sweet baby girl arrived! I went from a 4 to delivery in 45 minutes...
She weighed 6 pounds 1 oz and was 17 1/2 inches long!
The last little bit really wasn't terrible but I will never get induced again!
14 hours to just get to a 4... No thanks, I think I would rather do that at home!

Indi has been the BEST baby!
Remi has LOVED having her here at the house. She thinks she is her baby doll and she wants to help with everything. Changing her diaper, helping me burp her and helping me nurse :) hahaha She's pretty fascinated by that!

Whit Congrats!! Your girls are seriously so cute. Love their names too!
COngratulations!!! She is a doll. I was induced with my first and same story except I was a week and a half PAST DUE...AND I didn't get past a 4 after 26 hours! Imagine that...it was hell. And they were NOT sending me home. I told them HELL NO, I am almost 2 weeks past due- NO WAY. My water had broken anyway and I ended up having to get a c-section, so consider yourself LUCKY! She is ADORABLE!
